Our beers are coming soon to Main Street Drive Through Liquor in Mandan, ND.

There will be 4 taps of Bird Dog beers:

  • Premium Lager - This is a clean lager, using both English and  American ingredients.
    It goes down smooth.  The hops do show up in the  aroma, a classic lager variety, and they have a spicy to floral note.  The  malt is clean and light in color, straw-like.  Overall, a strong  representation of a premium lager.
  • Imperial Stout - This baby is black, devoid of color.  It has a creamy  dark tan to light brown head.   Aroma is of coffee, dark fruit (plum or prune), some spicy, earthy hop notes.  As for taste, the malt really comes through, even though it is very well-hopped; the malt balances and even supplies a bit of bitterness of it's own.  The residual sugars help to balance the flavor.  Again, dark fruit notes come through but dark bread or even cake-like tastes come in.  The roasted grains and the oats are very well showcased in the flavor and it finishes rather silky.
  • Bird Dog Amber - This one was People's Choice at the Muddy River Mashers  Oktoberfest in 2010.  It is on the dark side of amber -- almost red.   It has a great combination of bready, malt and citrus/spicy hop aroma.  The caramel and toffee notes really are showcased in this beer as the the crystal malts shine as I think they should in an amber.  This is a mildly hoppy beer.  Again, citrus and spicy notes come through in the flavor as well.  It is a great combination of English and American ingredients for a well-rounded, smooth beer.
  • Seasonal Beers - This will be a rotating selection.
